Dr.Don WhiteChiropractor, Registered Nurse
Dr. Don White is a licensed Chiropractor serving the Beaverton community. Growing up in Lafayette, Louisiana, Dr. White took an early interest in the healing arts. His medical training began with a BS in Nursing from the University of Colorado. He worked in Psychiatric Nursing, Infectious Disease, Orthopedic Nursing and Medical/Surgical Intensive Care.
It was in orthopedics that Dr. White developed an interest in chiropractic care. He moved to the Northwest to go to chiropractic school at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, OR, graduating in 1990 and opening his practice in Beaverton, OR. Dr. White has been serving this community for 30 years as a chiropractor.
Dr. White’s background is unique in that he combines his years of nursing experience and deep knowledge of physiology and disease with skilled Chiropractic manipulation. He uses a variety of treatment modalities to address soft tissue inflammation and systemic maladies as well as skeletal alignment. A life-long learner, Dr. White completed an advanced Neurology Diplomate program from the Carrick Institute to better assist his patients who are dealing with chronic pain, headaches, dizziness, balance issues, and concussions.
In his personal life, Dr. White is married to Jan Hollis-White and they are the proud parents of two standard poodles, Blu and Lana. His interests include making music, hiking, going to the beach and mushroom hunting.
Dr. White uses a 'whole person approach'. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. White is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
